Recorded on early August 2023 at the tail-end of a Wurlitzer artist residency in Taos, New Mexico.

Cullen and I met at an open mic he runs at the Alley Cantina on every Monday night. We began to develop a musical rapport and Cullen suggested we put it "on tape" at his personal recording studio in a spacious warehouse on the outskirts of town surrounded by trailer parks and sagebrush.

I used one of Cullen's steel string acoustic guitars, which is similar to the one I had been using at the open mic for the past couple of months.
The choice of instrument as opposed to my usual nylon string captures the sonic essence of my collaboration with Cullen at the Alley Cantina, as well as the times spent playing at art galleries, hiking and biking all over the surrounding mountains and desert.
